Music Video's, Magazines and Beer Gardens, oh Mai!

Hey Guys,

I have had the busiest most awesomest (last) week evah! I have been hard at work, styling for Kenton Magazine this past weekend and met some amazing people. Tuesday, I worked with a group of talented ladies on designer Autumn Lin Kietponglert's lookbook. Autumn, has been such a pleasure to work with on set and her signature pieces are jaw-droppingly beautiful and made completely of zippers and hours of love! I say that because, if you could see the construction she puts into them, you would think someone would be insane to sit and sew every bit of it in all of its glorious construction. Immaculate work like this can only be created with passion and hard work.

The pictures are not ready to be posted here yet, but.....her latest piece has been seen on none other then, Cher! Yup, Cher's new video "Woman's World" featured Autumn's signature zipper corset. In other exciting news, the Kenton Magazine shoot I did was way too much fun. And when I say way too much fun, I mean "I-buzzed-off-10-inches-of-my-hair-type" fun! Erroll (hair stylist) and the entire crew and I had a great time chatting, dancing (mostly me dancing, alone) and just working alongside other creative minds.

What do you think? I have been really bored with my hair lately and actually wanted something fun and exciting. I was thinking of getting some color, but when Errol offered I couldn't resist. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. I'll probably give it a few months and grow it back.

 If you are in Philly now or in the fall, you should check out PHS (Philadelphia Horticultural Society) Pop Up Beer Garden. It is catered by Iron Chef Jose Garces. The beer, food and atmosphere are perfect to unwind on a cool summer or fall night.

Hey Everyone,

This past Wednesday, I attended the launch of Philly Blog Love , founded by Jessie of Trend Hungry . As always it was a great time mingling and meeting an array of bloggers. The event included fashion and lifestyle bloggers, like myself, as well as travel, beauty and even a "green" lifestyle blogger. It was great!

 Blogging has not only been a creative outlet for me to share my love of fashion but has enabled me to meet great like-minded people. Over good food and drinks nonetheless! I hope everyone is enjoying this hot, hot weather at the beach!

 Hey everyone, 

Last night I attended the Glamour Live Event in Philly. There was great food, drinks sponsored by Fuze and a fun performance by OCD. Best of all, I was able to meet a handful of Philly bloggers and probably the entire Urban Outfitters creative team. (Likely because Color Me Nana hosted and she is apart of the URBN umbrella.) The party def had the Urban/ Free People vibe and I was the black sheep out. Or Black Cat! I hardly ever wear black and this jumpsuit and my leopard print shoes sure made me feel, well kind of... sexy. I guess there will be more black for me in the future.

its hammer time... nino brand launch

Last Thursday I attended a fashion brand launch, Nino Brand. Bela Shehu, the designer behind the brand hosted a beautiful party with Philly’s most fashionable. It was nice to see so many familiar faces and meeting some cool new ones. ;)

Nino brand consistent of architectural pieces with a palette of black, grey and white. I could see myself sporting one of there effortless but yet edgy pieces. Check her out here!

Being that I am petite, I paired the oversized and dropped crotch harem pants with a fitted vest. In my opinion, clothing should be paired with their opposites. If you wear something tight on top, pair it with looser bottoms. If something is overtly sexy, like a mini skirt. I tend to pair it with a flowy or long sleeve shirt. My rule of them is opposite attracts! (and make things more interesting!)

Hi guys, 

My good friend Jane and Paul were in town last week. Which of course means amazing pictures for the blog and unbuckling my belt a notch or two. Jane and Paul are huge foodies, as are we. We spent the majority of their 5 day visit, eating at our favorite spots and discovering  new gems along the way. Pumpkin, a rustic, farm-to-table style American food was one of the best meals I've had thus far in Philly. A must try if you are in the Philadelphia area.
