I am a STYLIST and a NURSE!

Practicing my notes!

I would have never imagined 5 years ago when I started as a nurse I would stand in front of a large audience at a Simon Mall and present fall trends. (Especially, since one of my biggest fears IN LIFE is public speaking) Two years ago I struggled with the idea of following my lifelong dream of pursuing a career in fashion. Only a little over a year ago I started this blog and under 6 months that I would no longer be a full time nurse and take on the fashion world.

Any stride, big or small, I have made thus far has made me realize I have made the right decision. I have never imagined being so passionate about something. Don't get me wrong, I will always be a nurse. Whether that means I work the one day a week like I do now or being a nurse at  heart. Yet, fashion allows me to unravel all my ideas and creativity that is literally teeming inside of me.

The craziest part about all of these life changing decisions is that I have never been happier in my life. Now, when I am a nurse, I have more patience. I appreciate that I can help my patients through a difficult diagnosis or a hard day. And when I am styling, I feel like I am painting my masterpiece in the form of clothing. I feel so grateful that I have found what I've been meant to do.

Now on to a much lighter note. Thank you Quaker Bridge Mall for having me at the First Annual Girls Night Out. I had a blast presenting the fall fashion trends.. Cheetah, plaid and leather among other things.

Some of the looks I pulled together with the help of some great people! Thanks Donna, Al, Marrissa and Linda from the participating retailers. Thank you to Marian, Marketing Director of Quaker Bridge, Simon Mall and Joey of Karma Verse for having me. And a very special Thank you to my friend Mecca from Style Out Loud for thinking of me.

I have lots of exciting work to share in the upcoming posts!

If you can take anything away from this post I hope you too will follow your dreams.

This post is dedicated to my wonderful husband, family and friends. Without your support I would have never had the courage to follow my dreams.
