Part 2 of Kembrel Party: What I wore.
The best aspect of winter for me, is the opportunity to layer clothes. Layering on the clothes, the prints, stealing clothes from spring collections and transforming them into some winter fun is the only thing that makes winter bearable.....that and snowboarding! I even have some boys clothing on! Yes, I often shop for plaid in the men’s department because it is easier to find good plaid in the men’s section. I bought this plaid shirt from Gap Kids actually, boys. And hello, it’s cheaper! $25 vs spending over $50, I’ll take that.
And to warm up your footsies in pumps, add a cute pair of socks. Lace is all over the runway this season. These lace ankle socks are an easy way to incorporate a subtle hint of that trend.

The first thing I noticed were the socks! Love it. Thank you for the advice on plaid. I am in need of a plaid shirt :)
I’m so glad you like the socks! It’s such an easy way to incorporate a trend. Its difficult for me to wear a full lace dress so I thought this was perfect to test the waters. And no problem on the plaid! I love shopping in the men’s department. Just keep in mind I also purchase men’s clothing because I like a lose fit. If you like a more fitted look you can still purchase men’s but should probably bring it to an experience tailor to fit it to you!
